16 week update!

So sorry it has been a couple of weeks since I posted, things have been busy busy! I will start with last Friday's sonogram. Last Friday Phil, Myself, my Parents and Chuck and Tami went to see what Mr. Forrest (yes, still a boy!) was up to! We were so happy that our parents could join us and see our sweet baby boy in action! He was quite active (probably because of the 1/2 of a coke a had about 30 mins. before hehe) he was grabbing his feet and legs, sucking his thumb, stretching his legs out and crossing them...looking quite comfy!! It is amazing at how much he has changed within a week...just looking at his profile picture is amazing seeing his nose, chin and mouth, tummy, spine, ribs, legs, arms etc. it is just breathtaking! He looks like a little baby now and we can't wait to hold him and give him a ton of kisses in April! I already wanna kiss his cute cheeks! (see sonogram pics below)

We also had our 16 week check-up on Tuesday and everything is going great! The NT test came back normal and his heartrate was 160 BPM! I have gained between 5-6 pounds since finding out I was pregnant so I am on the right track. I am still feeling great despite the minor stomach virus episode that lasted 2 days...again as I say every time, I am so grateful for having such an easy pregnancy! Our next appointment will be November 18th which will be our 20 week check-up along with Forrest's anatomy scan (sonogram) to check all of his insides! I can't wait to see what he is up to again in 4 weeks! :)

A few weekends ago I also registered at Nursery Couture!Love that store! :) (yes I am registering early, but that's just me! ;) I registered for several items for Forrest while I was there which include his bedding (see pic below, i'm obsessed) hooded towels, shopping cart cover, blankets, bibs, burp rags etc. While we were there we also ordered wooden hand painted letters to match his bedding to hang over his crib! Can't wait to start decorating! YAY!!! We are also registered at Babies R Us and will be registering soon at Pottery Barn Kids.

Also a few weekends ago Phil AKA Daddy put together Forrest's cradle that will be going in our room! He did a wonderful job, the cradle is beautiful and we can't wait to watch our sweet little one sleep in it!

Now for the sonograms, cradle and bedding pics!

Here is a profile picture of Forrest! On the left you can see his head, brain, nose, mouth and chin! Forrest is looking like his daddy! On the right his legs are bent and he is actually grabbing his knees and pulling them to his chest (you can't see his hands in this pic though)and those two dark spots in the middle of his chest and tummy are his heart and bladder!

This is another profile picture but this time his legs are not bent and the white thing near his mouth is actually his hand! (he was sucking his thumb a lot!)

This is a picture of Forrest looking straight at you! (his head is on the left and body on the right) A little freaky at first but still a beautiful sight!

and finally here is yet another pic. to prove he is still a boy! The arrow is pointing to his boy parts.

Forrest's crib bedding!

       Finished product! Good job Dad!

           Thanks CiCi and G-Pops!
Can't wait to wrap him up in it!

OUR BABY BOY HAS A NAME!!!

After searching endlessly on a name we have finally come up with one! I have to give Phil credit because he "found" the name and is very proud of it! :) When Phil told me the name it stuck with me and it is now official! Drum roll...

His name will be...Charles "Forrest" Schoenfeld !!!

He will go by Forrest though! Charles is a name that runs on both sides of our family!

Love you all!

IT'S A BOY!!!

We're having a boy!!! YAY!!! We are sooo excited!!! (scroll down for ultrasound pics) We went in today for a sonogram and blood test to test for down's and other abnormalities. The appointment went great! Although our son (ahh so weird to say son!!!) was being a little stubborn, after about 20 minutes we finally got him to turn over onto his back so they could get the measurements taken. The doctor said that he could see the nasal bone and the thickness behind the neck was less than 3 mm, so that was good news! The heartbeat was around 150 which is normal because as the weeks increase the baby's heartbeat will start leveling off. It was soo cool for us to see what Baby Schoenfeld was up to in my tummy. He was putting his hands on his face and kicking his legs and opening and closing his mouth, I am in awe every time I see our little one, he has changed so much since seeing him for the first time at 6 1/2 weeks!!! We can't wait to see what he is up to again soon!

I am finally getting my energy back and can usually stay up until around 10:00! :) I am so lucky to not have had any morning sickness! Phil is doing wonderful too, he was very excited to find out that he will have a football buddy!!! He was in shock because he had not seen the baby on a ultrasound since our first appointment at 6 1/2 weeks when the baby looked like a jelly bean.

Some more exciting news is that we ordered our SON'S (loving saying that!) crib, dresser, bookshelf, changing table (all antique chocolate color) and cradle (in black) this past weekend!(see pics below) It is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm obsessed with all of it! :)  Now we get to pick out bedding and decorations YAY!!!

Here is a profile our baby boy measuring at 14 weeks and 1 day! From this view you can see the head on the right and his bottom on the left, along with the spine, mouth, nose and even the brain! His hand is up by his head!

This picture is another profile picture with his head on the left and he is looking up. You can see his mouth, eyes, nose and spine as well as his hand. Which is going right towards his mouth! He had his hands moving around his face a lot today!

And our little boy is NOT SHY AT ALL! Picture him sitting on a glass table and you looking up at him. You see his legs and the arrow is pointing to his boy parts! Phil is very proud of his son haha!

And now for the furniture!

Here is our baby boy's crib!

 His dresser!
                          His bookshelf!
and his cradle that will go in our room! :)

We love you all!
Love,
Courtney, Phil and baby "BOY" Schoenfeld
