6 month appointment!

Hi Everyone!

We had our 6 month appointment/check-up last week and it went fantastic! Forrest's heartbeat was 143bpm and sounded strong! My Dr. then measured my stomach but didn't say if I was measuring ahead or under so I am guessing I am on track with where I should be! She then pushed around on my stomach to feel where he was, she said he is laying sideways with his head on my left, his back is on top of my bladder and his feet and hands were facing up towards my belly button. I had told her I feel a lot of movement right around my belly button and up past it too. She said it was because of the way he was laying. :) It is so wonderful knowing that our little man is growing and moving around in my tummy! He LOVES to move, stretch and give the occasional "high fives" as Phil likes to call them! ;) He is most active at night usually after I take a bath and am watching T.V. ,you can now see my whole belly move and see a "wave" like motion go across my stomach! It puts me in awe every time! We can't wait to meet him in about 4 months!

As for how Phil and I are doing, we are doing wonderful!!! Couldn't be happier/anxious for Forrest's arrival! We are actually heading to VEGAS tomorrow until Wednesday and we are so excited to be going with some great friends of ours Nina and Jason! I will post some pics once we get back! Then on Thursday our Christmas festivities will begin! I love this time of year!!!

Well guys I guess that is it for now!
We love you all!

23 Weeks plus goodies!

Hey Everyone!

Can't believe I am 23 weeks along, time sure does fly! It is mind boggling to think that in about 4 months our sweet little Forrest will be here...WE CAN'T WAIT!!! All in all everything has been going wonderful! I think my belly is growing a little more each day and Forrest is getting more and more active every day as well(especially after I eat)! He loves to wiggle, kick and turn, it is amazing to feel him in there! He also gets the hiccups quite often, it's so cute!

For Thanksgiving we got to spend time with both of our families, we had a blast and it was so nice to catch up with everyone! Here is a picture of Rachael ( my sister-in-law!) and myself. Rachael is expecting a sweet baby boy, Brooks Allen Mayland on Dec. 17th. We are so excited that our boys will only be about 4 months apart, it will be so neat to see them grow up together!

Now for some goodies! Below are pictures of various things that we have gotten for Forrest's nursery and a few things for mommy! Plus my 22 week belly pic :)
Daddy working hard on Forrest's crib!

Finishsed product! Can't wait to use it!

This is an antique pedal car that we got from our relatives antique shop! It goes perfect with the colors in his room and we can't wait to take some cute pictures of Forrest in it!

Forrest's bookshelf with a few things on it! We just got the puppy with Forrest's name on it the other day! It was too cute to pass up!

Forrest's changing table/dresser!

Forrest's swing that I put together all by myself... yes I AM PROUD! :)

This is a T-shirt that my mom had made, the sonogram in this picture is from when Forrest was 15 weeks and 3 days along!

Forrest's mess mat (it will be perfect for those messy moments!)

This is one of my favorite things for Forrest's room, his name in random photos! I just love it actually kinda obsessed with it ha! We are going to either put it above his changing table or in his bathroom!

My Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag that I will probably use most often it is grey & yellow and  yes I am pretty obsessed with it also, they have so much room and hidden compartments and it hangs on the stroller! can't wait to use it! :)

This is my Vera Bradley diaper bag that I will use more for traveling, it is a little bit bigger than the one above and washable which is fantastic! This is one of their new colors and it matches the grey & green stroller that we are registered for!

and another one of my favorite things for his room his hand painted wooden letter tiles that will go over his crib! They are hand painted to match his bedding!

and now for the 22 week belly pic!

We love you all and I PROMISE I will be better about updating the blog more frequently!!!

Love Always,

21 weeks! 19 more to go!

Hey Everyone!

A few weeks ago Phil and I went to the Dr.  for Forrest's 20 week fetal anatomy sonogram and 20 week check up. We were so excited to see how Forrest was doing! Forrest is a healthy growing boy and everything looks fantastic! The Dr. first measured his head then explained what everything was in the sonogram(his stomach, bladder etc.) She then saw the 4 chambers of his heart and measured his thigh bone and last she confirmed he was still a boy!The Dr. also said that Forrest was breech (his bottom is closest to my cervix) but he has plenty of time to flip! She also mentioned that since my placenta is under him it is pushing him up more towards the surface so I will feel him move a lot more and sooner. (the movements don't bother me at all though I LOVE knowing that he is moving around in there, it is so unexplainable.)
Everything is going fantastic, I did however experience some very sharp and aching pains a few weeks ago ago on my right side next to my hip, but come to find out it was round ligament pains that show up throughout pregnancy (let's just hope they don't show up too often, man they hurt!!) Other than that everything has been great and Phil is doing wonderful too! We also celebrated his 27th Birthday a few weekends ago with family and friends and all of their little ones and it was a blast! Seeing all the kiddos just makes us that much more eager to meet our little man... CAN'T WAIT!

19 Weeks!

Well I will officially be 19 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday) wooo hooo! Almost half way done and getting closer to meeting Forrest...WE CAN'T WAIT!  I have officially registered at Babies R Us, Nursery Couture, and Pottery Barn Kids!

Recently I have been finalizing the registries (still have to add a few things though) and getting a few goodies for myself (maternity clothes) and Forrest some goodies :) baby clothes and accessories are so dang cute, it is hard to pass them up!

Next week (Nov. 18) we will have Forrest's 20 week sonogram where they will look at all of his insides and we will get a more accurate due date. We are excited to see what he is up to and then Nov. 23 we have our 20 week check up with the doctor!

Speaking of seeing what Forrest is up to I have been feeling Forrest moving and grooving a lot lately! I first felt him Wednesday Oct. 20th I had a sweet tea a little earlier and I was about to take a bath and I felt something move up and down towards my ribs. It literally made me laugh...at first I just though it was gas but then it was constant movement and I knew it was Forrest letting his presence be known! Then last week (Tuesday Nov. 2nd) I felt Forrest move for the first time from outside my stomach and Phil even got to feel him just a little bit though. I have felt him before but just little thumps here and there. This past weekend though Forrest really decided that he would let us know hes in there, by kicking a little bit harder, so much that when looking at my stomach you can see my skin move up, Phil got to feel him do one of the big kicks and he got so excited, grinning ear to ear! It is so amazing to feel him moving around in there and especially feeling him from the outside, it is an unexplainable feeling!!! Forrest is really active between 7-9 at night when I am relaxing watching tv, and especially if I am laying on my back!

I have been feeling really great but occasionally still getting pretty tired but have pretty much regained my energy (no more 8:00 bed time! Hooray!) Phil is doing great too and getting eager to meet our little man!

Okay so now for belly pics!

Both of these pictures were taken today of each side at 18 weeks and 6 days !

That's it for now! I will update everyone again next week after the sonogram with new pics, so be sure to check back next Friday (Nov. 19th)

Love you all!

16 week update!

So sorry it has been a couple of weeks since I posted, things have been busy busy! I will start with last Friday's sonogram. Last Friday Phil, Myself, my Parents and Chuck and Tami went to see what Mr. Forrest (yes, still a boy!) was up to! We were so happy that our parents could join us and see our sweet baby boy in action! He was quite active (probably because of the 1/2 of a coke a had about 30 mins. before hehe) he was grabbing his feet and legs, sucking his thumb, stretching his legs out and crossing them...looking quite comfy!! It is amazing at how much he has changed within a week...just looking at his profile picture is amazing seeing his nose, chin and mouth, tummy, spine, ribs, legs, arms etc. it is just breathtaking! He looks like a little baby now and we can't wait to hold him and give him a ton of kisses in April! I already wanna kiss his cute cheeks! (see sonogram pics below)

We also had our 16 week check-up on Tuesday and everything is going great! The NT test came back normal and his heartrate was 160 BPM! I have gained between 5-6 pounds since finding out I was pregnant so I am on the right track. I am still feeling great despite the minor stomach virus episode that lasted 2 days...again as I say every time, I am so grateful for having such an easy pregnancy! Our next appointment will be November 18th which will be our 20 week check-up along with Forrest's anatomy scan (sonogram) to check all of his insides! I can't wait to see what he is up to again in 4 weeks! :)

A few weekends ago I also registered at Nursery Couture!Love that store! :) (yes I am registering early, but that's just me! ;) I registered for several items for Forrest while I was there which include his bedding (see pic below, i'm obsessed) hooded towels, shopping cart cover, blankets, bibs, burp rags etc. While we were there we also ordered wooden hand painted letters to match his bedding to hang over his crib! Can't wait to start decorating! YAY!!! We are also registered at Babies R Us and will be registering soon at Pottery Barn Kids.

Also a few weekends ago Phil AKA Daddy put together Forrest's cradle that will be going in our room! He did a wonderful job, the cradle is beautiful and we can't wait to watch our sweet little one sleep in it!

Now for the sonograms, cradle and bedding pics!

Here is a profile picture of Forrest! On the left you can see his head, brain, nose, mouth and chin! Forrest is looking like his daddy! On the right his legs are bent and he is actually grabbing his knees and pulling them to his chest (you can't see his hands in this pic though)and those two dark spots in the middle of his chest and tummy are his heart and bladder!

This is another profile picture but this time his legs are not bent and the white thing near his mouth is actually his hand! (he was sucking his thumb a lot!)

This is a picture of Forrest looking straight at you! (his head is on the left and body on the right) A little freaky at first but still a beautiful sight!

and finally here is yet another pic. to prove he is still a boy! The arrow is pointing to his boy parts.

Forrest's crib bedding!

    Daddy putting Forrest's cradle together!

       Finished product! Good job Dad!

Forrest's first embroidered blanket!
           Thanks CiCi and G-Pops!
Can't wait to wrap him up in it!

His name will be...Charles "Forrest" Schoenfeld !!!

He will go by Forrest though! Charles is a name that runs on both sides of our family!

Love you all!

IT'S A BOY!!!

We're having a boy!!! YAY!!! We are sooo excited!!! (scroll down for ultrasound pics) We went in today for a sonogram and blood test to test for down's and other abnormalities. The appointment went great! Although our son (ahh so weird to say son!!!) was being a little stubborn, after about 20 minutes we finally got him to turn over onto his back so they could get the measurements taken. The doctor said that he could see the nasal bone and the thickness behind the neck was less than 3 mm, so that was good news! The heartbeat was around 150 which is normal because as the weeks increase the baby's heartbeat will start leveling off. It was soo cool for us to see what Baby Schoenfeld was up to in my tummy. He was putting his hands on his face and kicking his legs and opening and closing his mouth, I am in awe every time I see our little one, he has changed so much since seeing him for the first time at 6 1/2 weeks!!! We can't wait to see what he is up to again soon!

I am finally getting my energy back and can usually stay up until around 10:00! :) I am so lucky to not have had any morning sickness! Phil is doing wonderful too, he was very excited to find out that he will have a football buddy!!! He was in shock because he had not seen the baby on a ultrasound since our first appointment at 6 1/2 weeks when the baby looked like a jelly bean.

Some more exciting news is that we ordered our SON'S (loving saying that!) crib, dresser, bookshelf, changing table (all antique chocolate color) and cradle (in black) this past weekend!(see pics below) It is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm obsessed with all of it! :)  Now we get to pick out bedding and decorations YAY!!!

Here is a profile our baby boy measuring at 14 weeks and 1 day! From this view you can see the head on the right and his bottom on the left, along with the spine, mouth, nose and even the brain! His hand is up by his head!

This picture is another profile picture with his head on the left and he is looking up. You can see his mouth, eyes, nose and spine as well as his hand. Which is going right towards his mouth! He had his hands moving around his face a lot today!

And our little boy is NOT SHY AT ALL! Picture him sitting on a glass table and you looking up at him. You see his legs and the arrow is pointing to his boy parts! Phil is very proud of his son haha!

And now for the furniture!

Here is our baby boy's crib!

 His dresser!
                          His bookshelf!
and his cradle that will go in our room! :)

We love you all!

11 Weeks 5 Days!

Well today was a very EXCITING day! I had an appointment this morning and it went very well! She said the baby looks excellent and the heart is beating strong around 160 beats per minute! We are so thankful that our baby is growing like it should and that it is healthy! The Dr. also said the baby was measuring at 11 weeks and 5 days so that puts us with a due date of April 7/8. When she did the ultrasound my jaw dropped because of how much our "little bean" has grown. It  is no longer a "little bean," it is now truly looking more like a baby It was so cool to see our baby move, stretch and kick! Such a surreal moment, and hearing the heartbeat never gets old, it is like Christmas morning each time, I love love love hearing the heartbeat!  Scroll down to see the ultrasound pictures from today!

We have several appointments coming up, the first one is October 6 and at that appointment we will be getting another ultrasound and testing done for Down Syndrome, Neural Tube Defects etc. Then the next appointment with my Dr. will be October 19th for a checkup but no ultrasound. After that we will have our 20 week appointment on Nov. 18 which will include more measurements of the baby and an ultrasound! So we are going to be busy with appointments these next couple of months! But what an exciting thing to be busy with! We look forward to each appointment and learning about what the baby is up to! We also have an appointment on October 23rd to find out if we are going to be having a precious boy or girl! :)  Only 4 1/2 weeks until then! Woo Hoo!!!

Overall I have been feeling spectacular!!! Me energy is starting to come back!!!Hooray!! I still have yet to get morning sickness (knock on wood!) besides having a bad sinus infection, I couldn't ask for a more perfect pregnancy! Phil is doing wonderful too, he is getting more and more excited every day about our little one! He has been so patient and understanding through everything, always going out of his way to make sure I am okay and comfortable! We love you all and I will update you all again after our October 6th appointment! With some news ultrasound pics too! We hope everyone is doing great and have a wonderful rest of the week!

This picture shows the baby's head (on the left), the spine and stomach and legs (on the right) If you look closely you can see the mouth, ears and eye! The 2 little dash like lines are where the heart is!AMAZING!

This picture shows the body and then the line from the baby's bottom to the head is measuring the baby which told us that the baby is measuring at 11 weeks and 5 days! you can see the head on the left, the stomach and spine (if you look closey you can see tiny ribs too!) then the legs on the right pointing downwards! I can't believe our little one is only about 2 inches long right now and already showing so many features!! It's so mind boggling!

Love Always,

9 Weeks and counting!

Hi All!

I am 9 weeks along!! (well I could be between 9 weeks and 5 days or 9 weeks and 1 day) Only 31 more weeks until we get to meet our little one! So exciting!!! This past weekend was a hard weekend for me, I got a bad sinus infection and went to the med-clinic, but I am much better now. Phil was such a good husband, doing anything he could to help me to relax and rest. He truly is going to be a great Daddy! Other than having a sinus infection my pregnancy has been going great still no morning sickness Yay! I have gotten a little more tired though, I am now going to bed around 8:30...which is so not me I am usually up until 11:00-11:30. So that has been the biggest change for me! All in all I couldn't be happier with how the pregnancy is going. It truly is a unique experience! Only 2 more weeks until our next appointment and we should be getting more sonograms done!It will be amazing to see how much our "little bean" has grown!! Well guys that is all for now, as always I will be updating again soon.

We love you all! Have a great week!

Just an update!

Hey Guys!
Well I should be around 8 weeks right about now! YAY!!! I am still feeling great and have had no morning sickness so that is something to celebrate! Although the fatigue has set in dramatically! I can't keep my eyes open past 9 on most nights and I find myself wanting a nap halfway through the day. But they say my energy level will get back up come the second trimester, only 4 more weeks till then!!!
Phil and I are looking forward to our September 22nd appointment! We are so eager to see how much our little bean has grown! Some other exciting news is that we will be finding out if we are having a boy or a girl on October 23rd! Can't wait!!! I think it is a girl but Phil is convinced it is a boy! Either way we will be over the moon, we just want a happy healthy baby! Alright that is it for now but I will update again soon! Love you all!

First Doctors Appointment!

On Wednesday, August 18th Phil and I had our first doctors appointment! It was the most amazing experience! We got a sonogram (see pics below) and the first thing the doctor said was that the baby looked great! We could see our baby's heart flickering (even though the baby is only about the size of a piece of rice) and we even got to hear the baby's heartbeat!!! It was the most surreal feeling seeing and hearing your future child's heartbeat!! The doctor said he thought we looked to be about 6-7 weeks along, so that would put us with a due date between April 8-12 but we will get a more def. due date at our next appointment! What an experience, We couldn't be happier and we are so glad that Baby Schoenfeld is doing great and looks healthy!! Phil and I can't wait until our next appointment on September 21st, the baby will be growing so much these next few weeks!

Being pregnant is such an amazing experience and to know that you are creating a little miracle in your tummy is mind-boggling!! I've been very lucky and have had no morning sickness (keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way too!) The only symptom that i have really experienced is being tired. Phil is also doing great, he is very excited and is looking forward to becoming a Dad which he will be amazing at!

The picture above shows where the baby is, it is in between the X's. The dotted lines are measuring how long the baby is. I was between 6-7 weeks.
This picture has two dash like lines. This is showing where we saw the flickering of the heart, and the soundwaves at the bottom of the picture is our baby's heartbeat!!

Exciting News!

Hi everyone,

Phil and I have some very EXCITING news! We're pregnant!!! This will be our first little blessing that we get to welcome into the world  in April and we couldn't be happier! We found out on Wednesday, August 4th. The hard part was waiting until Phil got home around 5:00 to share the exciting news! Well Phil finally arrived home and as usual we talked about how his day was etc. I then told him " the dogs are going to get mad at you if you don't go say hi to them" so he went outside and called the dogs over. (the dogs were wearing t-shirts that said "I'm going to be a big brother" and the other one said "I'm going to be a big sister." When the dogs got to him he read the t-shirts and didn't believe it at first! He was very excited!! I wanted to call everyone and their dog that night, but we said no let's wait until after the first doctors appointment...well that didn't last! We couldn't keep it in so we started telling our family and friends that weekend! ha so much for trying to wait it out! Everyone was so happy and excited for us and we can't wait for baby schoenfeld to meet our wonderful family and friends, he/she is going to love everyone to pieces!

P.S. I am going to try and post every week to keep everyone up to date on baby schoenfeld, Dr.'s appointments, belly pics,  etc. So keep checking back!
